Nice hotel with big rooms and hardwood floors. Rooms are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker. TV is wide screen with plenty of channels. Wifi is available and screaming. It’s probably the fastest wifi we have had for any hotel we’ve stayed at. The speedtest clocked it at 100 mb download and 20 mb upload. They also have a complimentary breakfast snacks available with decent coffee. Probably the cheapest hotel in this area.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to be able to go snowboarding. The location of the hotel was great because it was within walking distance of a lot of places, including the bus stops for getting up to the mountain. The room was small, but fine for what we needed. The bathroom was clean, the heat worked great (and AC), the bed was clean, and TV and WiFi worked just fine! The only thing I could point out that wasn’t up to standard was the carpeting. But again, we really only needed a place to lay our heads. If you’re looking for a cheap and convenient stay, this place is it!
We were up there last weekend, over the very snowy weekend. The owner was so wonderful when we arrived. The snowy conditions made driving in and parking a bit more difficult as Mammoth's road plower was just putting the snow on the side of the road, blocking the main entrance to most businesses on the main road. They owner helped guide us in over the phone via the back entrance. The hotel is in a great location, near the trolley stops and close enough to the village to walk if the weather is nice. We interacted a lot with the owner and workers and all were wonderful. The hotel puts out a spread in the morning including snacks and sandwich fixins for people to take food on the mountain for their snow adventures. I'd definitely stay again in the future.
Basic accommodations, but clean and organized. Hot water and heaters worked well. A good TV and outlets for all the things you need to plug in. Excellent location, 4 minutes walk to local restaurants and bars. Easy to find, right off the main road. Such a great stay ☺️ Our room looked amazing, water pressure in our room was awesome, heater worked very well,e00 and they have King size beds! Only thing is that when walking into the bathroom, there's a huge tripping hazard. The bathroom tile is raised up about two inches so watch your step! Rooms: 4.0 | Service: 5.0 | Location: 5.0
The place is a bit older but it was very clean and quiet. A perfect spot for passing through with our dog. The staff was very friendly. Our room had a huge window overlooking the mountains. Mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and new furniture. Also, walking distance to down town and a 5 minute walk to Schats bakery!
I typically don’t write reviews but thought this stay needs more credit. I travel very often and budget travel when I am not on an extended vacation. Booked this hotel last minute for a weekend trip and didn’t know what to expect given the reviews but it exceeded my expectations (my bf said the exact same thing). Friendly and easy check in, the rooms are clean and carpeting really wasn’t bad at all per other reviews. It’s the least expensive stay in mammoth and maybe the most comfortable bed I’ve stayed in up here and Ive been coming up here for 12 years . Def will be my preferred choice on weekend trips to Mammoth!
